About Me

Hi! I’m Lauren, the artist and designer behind Chromatic Frog. I’m a wife and mom, and I have always wanted to make a living with my art.

I’ve always been an “artsy-crafty” person. As a kid, my answer to “what do you want to be when you grow up?” was always “an artist”. I spent a lot of my free time in various art classes, painting ceramic statues with my mom or creating all sorts of things with whatever craft supplies I had around. As a teen, I carried a sketchbook everywhere and drew everything. I also got a little obsessed with photography and digital art.

I have taken multiple arts-related college courses as an adult, but am currently working at a call center to make ends meet. It’s not the worst job – I’m good at it, and it can even be pretty rewarding at times – it just doesn’t feed my soul, you know?

I dream of a work-from-home career that satisfies my need to create and share my art with the world and allows me the flexibility to support my family without missing all the days and events that are important to them.
